Festhalten und Loslassen, Liebe und Sehnsucht
– mit allen Ambivalenzen, die das Leben zu
bieten hat. Ihr Gesang ist dabei beeindruckend
wandelbar und zu allen Zeiten ausdrucksstark
und berührend.

Drei Jahre nach ihrem Debütalbum „A Reflection” legt
Annemaríe Reynis nun mit „Wasteland“ (dt.: „Ödland“) eine
detailverliebt arrangierte Platte vor, die sich durch eine
einzigartig kraftvolle Zerbrechlichkeit auszeichnet. In
Zusammenarbeit mit dem Dresdner Musiker und Produzenten
Ludwig Schmutzler entstanden sieben Songs, in denen sich
Annemaríes Ukulele zuweilen mit schnarrenden Bässen
duelliert, treibende Drums versuchen, die Kälte des Ödlandes
zu vertreiben und ganz zum Schluss eine Viola bittersüß fragt,
ob nun alles zuende sei.
